Application Process

Applicants interested in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship must:

    • Have completed at least the PGY-3 year of an ACGME-accredited general psychiatry training program by June of the current academic year.
    • Successfully completed USMLE Steps 1, 2, 3, and/or COMLEX Level 1, 2, 3, and Clinical Skills.
    • Successful applicants will have completed requirements for General Psychiatry board eligibility at the start of fellowship. On rare occasions, our committee accepts accept applications from PGY 2's with written committment from the general psychiatry program for completion of their training.
    • Complete the standard application on the ERAS and confirm you are registered for the NRMP Match on National Residency Matching Program. Admission to the training program is solely through participation in the ERAS and the NRMP.
    • Submit three letters of recommendation, including one from the General Psychiatry Training Director of the program.
    • Submit the attestation form completed by the General Psychiatry Program Director, completed rotations and clinical skills exam. We welcome updates from the Program Director about clinical skills verification completion during the application season. Successful completion of two clinical skills verifications prior to match list submission date is encouraged.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship adheres to the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT) Child Psychiatry Caucus agreement to fill fellowship positions through the match process during the Match season.

We are able to sponsor J-1 visa under the current US immigration policies and H-1B under special circumstances. International applicants should be ECFMG certified by July of the application be considered for an interview.
