Aviana received a BS in Biology and Health Sciences from James Madison University. Through the VCOM Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Aviana and her colleagues were involved in a clinical pharmacy research project in the Dominican Republic, comparing the use of antihypertensive medications in clinics in El Salvador, D.R., and the United States.
She was elected to the position of VSCOM Obstetrics and Gynecology Club for a one-year term, and was the National Student Society representative to the 2021 National ACOOG Advances in Women’s Health conference. Aviana was born and raised in Düsseldorf, Germany and moved to the United States early in her upbringing.
