What is the ImageStream MK II?
The ImageStream MK II in Flow Core, is distinctive for blending speed and sensitivity of a flow tool with the detailed imaging capabilities of a microscope. This combination allows the capture of high-quality images of cells during flow experiments. The ImageStream MKII can analyze up to 5000 cells per second, capturing images of thousands to millions of individual cells in a sample. This speed and accuracy are better than what's usually achieved with regular microscopy methods. Unlike other instruments in the Flow Core, the ImageStream MKII can recover and return unused sample from its fluidic system back into the original sample tube for reuse.
The ImageStream MK II housed in the Flow Core utilizes a 3-laser array, allowing for 6 high-resolution imaging channels including the brightfield and side scatter. Please refer to the table below for available lasers and suggested fluorophores.
