Paternity/Adoption Leave: Leave is provided through the use of vacation leave. . The ABOHNS allows for a total of 8 weeks (40 workdays) for parental, caregiver or medical leave for 1 year during the residency.

Days off for national, state and religious holidays will be dictated by the institutional schedule, however, call schedules and surgical schedules will dictate coverage needs and resident assignments during these dates.

Educational Leave: Residents are granted educational leave to attend conferences, courses and medical mission trips.

Holidays: Graduate Medical Education trainees are responsible for the clinical care of the patients within the educational program.
