Qualified applicants must meet the following guidelines:

  • Eligible to hold a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Graduate of an allopathic or osteopathic approved medical school
  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency program
  • Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
  • Eligible to obtain medical staff privileges at all seven Sentara facilities

Applicants interested in applying for the EMS Fellowship should send a letter of interest, current CV, and 3 letters of recommendation to jlang@ept911.com. At least one letter should come from your Program Director.  The application process will open on July 1st and extend to August 15th.

The Emergency Medical Services Fellowship is fully accredited by the ACGME for one fellow per academic year. All positions are matched in the NRMP Emergency Medicine Fellowship Match.  Interested applicants should be sure to register for the NRMP Match.
