What sets us apart?
Our fellows benefit from clinical exposure to advanced endourology and laparoscopy procedures, including percutaneous/ureteroscopy, laparoscopic/robotic radical prostatectomy, and the full range of laparoscopic kidney surgery— radical nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, donor nephrectomy, cryotherapy, pyeloplasty and adrenalectomy.
Conduct and present clinical research, train with fellowship-trained faculty on laparoscopic techniques and treat patients in surgery and in weekly outpatient clinics as a fellow in our program.

Urology of Virginia
Urology of Virginia is an outpatient practice that provides treatment for kidney, urinary tract, prostate, pelvic or other urological needs. Our trainees provide advanced endourology and laparoscopy surgery services for the kidney, prostate and urinary tract. Fellows perform percutaneous/ureteroscopy, laparoscopic/robotic radical prostatectomy, radical nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, donor nephrectomy, cryotherapy, pyeloplasty and adrenalectomy at this location.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the primary teaching hospital for our medical school, is home to the area's only Level I trauma center and burn trauma unit, the region's premier heart program, and a Urology program rated "high-performing" by U.S. News & World Report. Its active cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, sleep medicine, epilepsy, and oncology programs, as well as its heart, lung, kidney, and pancreas transplant programs, make Sentara Norfolk General an ideal place for training. Fellows perform surgical procedures at this facility.
