Position information: The physician assistants' role is to assist with skin cancer screening, excision, and closure of Mohs defect. If physican assistant is interested in cosmetic dermatology and general dermatology, these areas can be offered as well. Dr. Chang will personally supervise and teach to ensure active learning and patient care.

Brief Job Description:.

• Demonstrate a high degree of general medical and urological cancer knowledge and exercise independent judgment as appropriate
• Assess the patient’s medical condition (prostate cancer, bladder cancer, renal cancer, etc.) by completion of a urological examination
• Document appropriately and communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested
• Order and evaluate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and devices based on the patient’s medical condition
• Develop and perform treatment plans in accordance with established protocols
• Order physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or home health care as appropriate
• Perform cancer procedures in office setting (cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, etc.) as trained

Experience required: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, Licensure in the state of Virginia.
