Prerequisite Checklist

Below are the courses offered through ODU that will be accepted toward completing the three (3) prerequisites to apply to the Laboratory Animal Science program. The acceptable ODU courses listed below are required to meet the prerequisite requirement. If multiple courses listed are on the transcript, the course with the highest grade will be used in our review.

  1. Please note that all prerequisite courses must be completed by the EAP application deadline.
  2. All prerequisite courses must be completed at Old Dominion University with a grade of B- or better. 
  3. Pre-requisite courses must not be repeated for poor performance.
  4. Gain a minimum of three (3) months or 500 hours of related hands-on experience prior to matriculation into the Program.

Note: Any exceptions must be approved in advance by the Program Director and will not be granted retroactively.
