Requirements for Admission
- A master's degree awarded by a regionally accredited institution in healthcare, education, management, or related disciplines.
- An overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for graduate-level work is required.
- Graduation from an ARC-PA certified Physician Assistant program.
- Certification from the NCCPA.
- State Licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Applicants must report all institutions attended and send all official transcripts to GradCAS. If you do not list or send official transcripts for all institutions attended, processing of your application may be delayed.
- 2 Letters of Reference submitted directly to GradCAS. Submit this form through the GradCAS Evaluator portal.
- A personal statement, submitted with GradCAS application, that reflects the applicant’s background, interests, future plans and decision for selecting the DMSc degree.
- Following the online instructions, applicants must contact every college or university attended and request transcripts be sent directly to GradCAS.
- GradCAS accepts electronic transcripts from:
- Sending transcripts to GradCAS by mail
- Download a transcript request form after you enter each institution in GradCAS
- Send the transcript request form to the institution registrar to send transcript by mail to the address below:

Transfer Credits
Requests to transfer graduate credits from another accredited U.S. institution are considered on an individual basis after students are admitted to the Medical Science (D.M.Sc.) program.
Transfer credits are considered for up to nine-degree credits. Only courses in which the student has earned the equivalent of a Pass or B or higher will be considered for transfer credit. Additionally, courses being considered for transfer must have been taken at the doctoral level or as part of a PA Fellowship or post-graduate training. Professional experience may also be considered for course credit. A professional portfolio documenting the relevant experience and satisfactory achievement of Course Goals must be presented in lieu of the course.
