Tina D. Cunningham, PhD
Dr. Cunningham is the Program Director of the Master of Healthcare Delivery Science program in the School of Health Professions. Dr. Cunningham earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from The College of William and Mary and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Cunningham currently oversees activities associated with the effective and efficient operation of HADSI, a central portal that enables the research community at EVMS to access epidemiology and biostatistics support, such as research design, protocol development, data management and analysis, manuscript preparation, grant submission, and other related services. As an educator, Dr. Cunningham has taught and mentored undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, and residents on topics such as biostatistics, research methods, data management, statistical reasoning, and evidence-based medicine. Her statistical work includes multilevel design, sample size calculation, and statistical methods in epidemiology. Her research interests include osteoporosis prevention, HIV treatment, health disparities, primary care, and geriatrics. She has served as the primary investigator, co-investigator, or principle statistician of several research projects with external funding.
