Why I Chose EVMS: My decision to pursue Plastic Surgery residency at EVMS is two-fold. During my fourth year of medical school at EVMS, I spent time working alongside Dr. Lambros Viennas and quickly knew I had found my calling as a future surgeon. I also learned that the people you work with and the learning environment must be paramount in my decision making. At EVMS, the teamwork mentality and camaraderie from attending to intern is second to none - the same holds true for resident education and learning on the job.
I was born in Norfolk and raised in Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads community is my home.
Providing patient-centered care for those who need it is a reward all on its own. The combination of treating a neighbor and EVMS holding true to academic medicine principles as our foundation could not be duplicated. It is an honor and privilege to be an inaugural resident for the Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency.
Hobbies & Interests:
- Film Photography: I like to take pictures whenever I can, processing the film myself makes it rewarding to see how the images turn out.
- Golf: I grew up playing competitively prior to grad-school, now it's a great reason for a walk through nature.
