Donald S. Buckley, PhD, MHA, MHA
Dr. Buckley received his B.S. in Industrial Relations at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota, and his Doctorate in Health Administration from Kennedy Western University in California.
In January 2005, he retired as President and CEO of the Chesapeake General Hospital and Chesapeake Health after thirty three years. Prior to that he was Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, preceded by administrative positions at hospitals in North Carolina and Virginia. He is currently President Emeritus of the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.
He is currently Assistant Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School in the Program in Public Health and is Chair of the Board of Directors of Physicians for Peace. an international medical mission organization.
He is married to Alvene and they have three grown children and four grandchildren.
