David B. Jennette, CSA, LSA, RSA
Mr. David Jennette serves as a Course Director at EVMS, where he works as an instructor in the School of Health Professions – Masters of Surgical Assisting Program teaching Operative Practices and Clinical Reasoning of Surgical Assisting. He is also a current member of the Health Professions Network, and the Institute for Credentialing Excellence where he recently served on their Ethics Task Force, and David has been an affiliate member of the American College of Surgeons since 2009
David is the current Chief Administrative Officer for the National Surgical Assistant Association, which has over 1600 Certified Surgical Assistant members. He also served the NSAA for more than 12 years on the Board of Directors including two terms as Treasurer and President. David has over 30 years of experience as a surgical assistant following his graduation from the Eastern Virginia Medical School’s Surgical Assistant program in 1987.
David has taken his surgical assistant expertise and teaching experience across the globe as a team member with Mission to Heal, a non-profit medical missions agency that heals underserved people and trains local practitioners in some of the most remote areas of the world. He has committed to return annually to the Philippines and make additional visits to Ghana, Ethiopia, and Ecuador.
