Information on the Pfizer COVID-19 Booster Vaccine
The health and safety of EVMS employees and students is our highest priority. The CDC recently endorsed the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster dose. In accordance with the most recent guidance from the CDC, we encourage all eligible EVMS employees and students to schedule a booster dose if they have received both initial Pfizer vaccine doses and have been fully vaccinated for at least six months. The booster shot is available through the Virginia Department of Health and many local pharmacies.
EVMS Visitor Directives
All visitors and volunteers must comply with current EVMS masking and social distancing policies while in EVMS facilities and should not come to campus if sick. Visitors and Volunteers that have not been issued a badge are required to check in with security when entering non-clinical buildings including Brickell Library, Lester Hall, Lewis Hall and Waitzer Hall.
Longer term visitors — those staying more than five days — must follow the visitor protocol on the EVMS COVID-19 page.
