The M. Foscue Brock Institute for Community and Global Health will host the “EVMS-Sentara COVID-19 Update on Clinical Protocols” from noon to 1:30 p.m. today, Thursday, May 28, on the EVMS Bluejeans platform.
The update’s objectives are to provide an overview of COVID-19 epidemiology, transmission and clinical manifestations; review testing, infection control and PPE recommendations; review the pathophysiology of the cytokine cascade and pro-coagulation in COVID-19 patients; and discuss current COVID-19 clinical treatment protocols. This event will offer 1.5 hours CME credit via the EVMS CME office.
The following panel of physicians will share their expertise and answer viewer questions:

- Michael Hooper, MD, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, EVMS, and Vice President of Medical Affairs, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by Cynthia Romero, MD, Director of the Brock Institute.
