Marketing and Communications (MarComm) raises Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University' public profile and ensures high quality coverage of the important work being done on the Brock Virginia Health Sciences campus — be it education, research or patient care. Plus, MarComm provides a broad range of services to the institution including media relations, social media strategic consulting, web technologies, crisis communication planning and media training. 

Vincent Rhodes, PhD, APR, Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Chief Communications Officer, oversees the department, in addition to developing the institution’s strategic communications plan and supporting the Senior Management Group’s executive communications efforts. Mary Westbrook, serves as Director of Marketing and Communications. 

Web Technologies is a division of Marketing and Communications and is led by Natalie Semmler, Web Technologies Manager. 

Templates are available to enable faculty, staff and students to promote a consistent visual identity for Brock VHS. Options for flyers, digital signage, brochures and presentations are provided.
