Faculty Performance Appraisal

Employed faculty members complete a faculty performance appraisal (evaluation) annually. The goal of the appraisal process is to provide a meaningful assessment of faculty achievements, promote the development of goals and expectations, foster and support faculty development and mentorship, and guide junior faculty in career advancement through formative discussions with department chairs, program directors, and division chiefs.

In order to standardize, streamline and, most important, integrate the annual faculty evaluation process with promotion advancement, we have developed a web-based faculty appraisal system. Performance appraisals typically become available to faculty members in April and faculty will receive an email from EVMSFacultyAffairs@evms.edu with a link to an individualized annual faculty appraisal, step-by-step directions, and personalized support for each step of the process.
