Kathryn N. Huggett, Ph.D.
Dr. Kathryn N. Huggett is Director of The Teaching Academy, Robert Larner MD ’42 Professor in Medical Education, and Assistant Dean for Medical Education at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. Dr. Huggett is currently a Member-at-Large for the AAMC Northeast Group on Educational Affairs (NEGEA) and conference Chair for the 2020 NEGEA Annual Conference. She is a past president of the Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education (SDRME) and the Society’s current senior representative to the AAMC Council of Faculty and Academic Societies (CFAS). Dr. Huggett also serves as Past Chair of the national Academies Collaborative and is a past member of the IAMSE Board of Directors. Her recent publications address academic program quality, faculty recognition, curricular innovation, and inter-professional education. In addition, she has conducted research and published in the areas of medical school admissions, preparation for Graduate Medical Education, undergraduate honors education, and professional development.
