David Elkowitz, DO
Dr. Elkowitz is the Associate Dean and Director of the Academy of Medical Educators, Director of Undergraduate Medical Education for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Associate Director of the PEARLS program (case-based curriculum) at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He is a full-time facilitator in the case-based (PEARLS) component of the curriculum. Previously, Dr. Elkowitz directed the problem-based learning curriculum and the Office of Academic Medicine Fellowship at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Elkowitz has published over 40 articles, book chapters and abstracts. He has been an invited speaker at schools and meetings across the country talking about medical education topics.
