On February 14, all fourth-year medical students will receive a unique link to the GQ survey. The GQ provides YOU with a chance to share information about your medical school experiences confidentially.

Your feedback on this survey is extremely important to our ongoing LCME accreditation reporting requirements. Additionally, sharing your voice will us to better meet the needs and expectations of all students. The information you provide on the GQ is instrumental in helping us identify our strengths and weaknesses.

The group's results are shared with EVMS leadership. We use this information set goals for the upcoming academic year, as well as to inform our long-term strategic planning for the continuous quality improvement of our programs.

Complete the survey between Feb. 14 and June 9th.  The AAMC will send email reminders on the 1st of each month to students who have not completed the survey.

 

The GQ will take between 35-50 minutes to complete. This is an investment in your future as a graduate from an accredited program and also for your classmates' future educational experiences.

Yes. The unique link that you are provided is internal to AAMC. They do not disclose who has completed or started the GQ.

The GQ will ask about your experiences with:

• Pre-clinical, clinical, and elective experiences
• General medical education and readiness for residency
• Student services
• Experiences of negative behaviors
• Financial aid and indebtedness
• Career intentions
• Strengths of the medical school as well as areas that need improvement

  • Additional support and personnel for career planning services
  • Mid-clerkship meetings for feedback
  • One-on-one counseling sessions to assist with Financial Aid and Debt Counseling Services
  • Creation of the Student Health Center
  • Creation of the Medical Student Research Office
