Award Winners

The winners of the 2021 EVMS Faculty and Staff Achievement Awards were revealed on Nov. 30. Watch the full awards ceremony.

This year's ceremony included the new President’s S.T.A.R. Award for COVID-19 Response.

The award was created to recognize those EVMS employees – both individuals and groups – who have performed above and beyond their normal job duties during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They may have shown extraordinary efforts to maintain critical operations, ensured effective and efficient course delivery, or even created and implemented new processes or events to adapt during one of the most challenging periods of time.

2021 President's Staff Rising Star Award

This award recognizes up to two exceptional staff members who demonstrate commitment to the school's mission, vision and values, show initiative and promise as well as leadership potential, demonstrate exceptional skills and abilities in the performance of their job duties, and Seek opportunity to improve or gain new skills.

2021 President's Staff Philanthropy Champion Award

Presented on behalf of EVMS Development and Alumni Relations, this award celebrates commitment to the EVMS Foundation. The award recognizes staff members who act as ambassadors and assist EVMS in communicating with donors about the mission/programs of the institution.

2021 President's Staff Award for Community Service

This award recognizes EVMS staff members who demonstrate personal commitments to community service.

2021 President's Staff Award for Mentoring

This award recognizes EVMS staff members who have consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment to and involvement in the mentoring, advising or counseling of fellow employees and who serve as professional role models.

2021 President's Staff Awards for Excellence

These awards recognize EVMS staff members who excel in their work, have a high level of professionalism, and consistently perform beyond expectations in these six areas of focus. These individuals exemplify EVMS' core values at a superior level, continually fostering pride within EVMS.

2021 President's Faculty Achievement Awards

2021 President's Faculty Rising Star Award

This award recognizes up to two exceptional faculty members who demonstrate commitment to the profession and to the school's mission, vision and values, and seek opportunity to improve or gain new skills.

2021 President's Faculty Philanthropy Champion Award

2021 President's Faculty Award for Excellence

This award recognizes up to four EVMS faculty members who excel in their work and consistently perform beyond expectations in more than one of the mission areas: teaching, research/discovery, clinical care, administrative service.

2021 Fine Family Academy of Educators Award for Educational Leadership

The Fine Family Academy of Educators Awards for Educational Excellence are designed to recognize and celebrate our outstanding educators and acknowledge achievements in education. Learn more about the Academy and membership.

2021 President's Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement

The Award for Outstanding Achievement is the institution's highest honor and is presented to an EVMS full-time faculty member whose achievements exemplify EVMS' mission.
