Elizabeth Warson, M.A., ATR-BC,
Ph.D. candidate, is a registered, board-certified art therapist. She is a full-time
faculty member in the Graduate Art Therapy Program and an Assistant Professor
in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. As a clinician, she
has 12 years of post-graduate experience in a variety of settings, including
residential treatment centers, medical hospitals, and correctional facilities.
Ms. Warson received her BFA from the Cleveland
Institute of Art in 1989 and an M.A. in Art Therapy from Vermont College of
Norwich University in 1993. She is completing her Ph.D. studies in
Interdisciplinary Studies at Colorado State University.

She is currently the Chair of the Committee on Professional Practice for the
American Art Therapy Association. Ms. Warson has presented at regional and
national art therapy conferences on topics ranging from grief and loss to
narrative therapy. Her publications comprise journal articles and chapters in
art therapy books. As a professional artist, she has exhibited her sculptural
work nationally and internationally and is a recipient of an Ohio Arts Council
fellowship award. |
