Assistant Professor - Physician Assistant

Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) has a full-time faculty position open in the Physician Assistant Program.  This is an expanded program that enrolled its first class of 80 students in January 2013. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record in physician assistant education, clinical practice, research or related scholarly activities, and a commitment to continued professional development.  We seek an energetic colleague who functions well in a team environment, and who can inspire and motivate students while being an effective role model.  Continued clinical practice within EVMS Health Services is encouraged.  Faculty rank and salary are based on education, clinical, and teaching experience.

The anticipated starting date would be on or about July 1, 2013.

QUALIFICATIONS: Current NCCPA certification, Master’s Degree in a related field, five or more years in clinical practice, and current eligibility for Virginia licensure.
